Our digitization efforts for “What Is a Baltimorean?” helps in understanding the history of television production. MARMIA does not actually hold the completed documentary, but production elements. Although it isn’t the final product, these elements could still be helpful in understanding the work of WJZ-TV staff and the process of production. It’s only just been started, but I did take my thesis glossary (which was about the WJZ collection) and put it into an Airtable base in order to give more context to production using WJZ as a case study. We hope to incorporate our other TV news collections as well!
