In closing out MARMIA’s 2021 Fiscal Year, one of the things that we are the most grateful for is receiving a SHARP grant this fall. This funding will be used for general operating support of our growing organization, much needed to continue our humanities-based mission due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 public Health crisis. Funding for these grants has been provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and Maryland Humanities as part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and the NEH Sustaining the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan (SHARP) initiative. We are sending a huge thank you from MARMIA to these organizations and the people who worked on this invaluable program to keep the humanities strong during this difficult time!
