MARMIA charges fees for services in order to provide our small nonprofit with a stable source of funding. Due to limited staffing, all services could take several weeks to complete.
MARMIA offers the following services:
- Motion picture film inspection, repair, and/or rehousing for 16mm, 8mm, Super 8
- Video digital transfers and up to 4K film scanning
- Video: Betamax, BetacamSP, U-maticSP, S-VHS/VHS/VHS-C, Hi8/Video8/Digital8, MiniDV/DV/DVCAM
- Film: 16mm, 8mm, Super 8, magnetic and optical soundtracks
- Introductory, intermediate, to advanced-level media preservation training
- Media preservation advisement and assessments
- Media asset management planning, implementation, training, and/or troubleshooting
- Audiovisual analog-to-digital workstation planning, implementation, training, and/or troubleshooting
